There are various moles and lesions on our skin. Some are harmless others can be a potential threat or indicators of a skin disorder or disease. Physicians can detect slight changes in these moles and lesions to evaluate whether they are harmless or require care and course of treatment.

An Introduction to the Medicam 1000

FotoFinder System, Inc., have launched Medicam 1000, which provides the sharpest images required for digital dermoscopy. Medicam 1000 is a handheld camera that comes with “the CrystalView” technology that offers more detail in each pixel and proved the sharpest images in Full HD. The images are rich in contrast and crystal clear. The camera also has a strong zoom optics that provides higher optical magnification, with a continuous live-zoom. Computer-controlled LEDs help capture macro and panoramic picture of the skin, hair, and nails.

The camera is equipped with automatic magnification features, allowing it to capture photos at 140x magnification without compromising the quality of the image. It also comes with optical polarization.

Floodlight illumination and spacer are perfect for the image overview. The cameras come with intuitive control using a control panel behind the camera. Medicam 1000 also has special attachment for fluorescence diagnostics and capillaroscopy.

This camera is used in FotoFinder Bodystudio ATBM (Automated Total Body Mapping) which allows the medical practitioners to take body images (palms, soles, and four sides) in around 4 minutes. The ATBM takes full body photographs in the best possible way to track changes in moles and lesions. The patient’s height is fed into the system. The photography template takes care of the rest. The camera is designed to move up and down automatically while taking photographs.
